MWDM Modules

Description

The large-scale construction of 5G new infrastructure places higher demands on the fronthaul networks. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology is the preferred solution for 5G fronthaul networks. Among various WDM plans, MWDM is based on the 6 wavelengths of CWDM, shifted by 3.5nm left and right to expand to 12 waves, and is one of the cost-effective plans. Optiworks' MWDM module is based on our free-space platform which enables us to get rid of cascaded fiber fusion splices and thus to provide us with excellent performance and high reliability. In the meaning time, the device is so compact to be easily integrated into various modules and systems.
