BizLink green PROFINET cables are green in two ways

Cables with plant-based outer jackets provide outstanding performance and minimize environmental impact

Friesoythe, February 26, 2024 – BizLink, a leading provider of connectivity solutions worldwide, is now fitting its high-performance PROFINET cables with an environmentally friendly, plant-based outer jacket. This new cable jacket consists of sustainable materials that minimize the ecological footprint of the manufacturing process and simultaneously provide maximum reliability and performance.

BizLink offers two different versions of its new, green PROFINET cables, which are part of the FieldLink product family:  In the cases of both the PVC and PUR versions, the outer jackets are made of plant-based raw materials, which do not stem from fossil fuels. BizLink source the required raw materials from short and local supply chains, which reduces the CO₂ emissions even more. This innovative approach improves the ecological footprint of our manufacturing considerably and paves the way for a greener future.

The cables’ electrical and mechanical properties remain unchanged. Both green PROFINET cables were developed for flexible routing and are ideally suited for use in rough industrial environments. In its PUR version, green PROFINET used in drag chain applications withstands more than 3 million bending cycles. We assess all drag chain cables for their resilience in our own drag chain testing center.
