Purchase Engineer

Finding and negotiating prices with material suppliers ensures that qualified and timely production materials are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify material supplier resources based on the company's new product development and business growth needs.
  • Release suppliers according to the supplier management process:
  • Conduct basic supplier information investigation
  • Organize quality control and engineering departments to initiate supplier development projects
  • Require suppliers to provide the necessary information and documents for release
  • Arrange supplier sample confirmation and track the sample confirmation process
  • Organize supplier inspection and review
  • Arrange a supplier small-batch trial production and supply
  • Negotiate material prices, transaction methods, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Sign transaction contracts, quality assurance agreements, and environmental agreements with suppliers.
  • Require suppliers to provide technical data and environmental certifications for raw materials, and release new materials.
  • Negotiate and adjust material prices with suppliers in a timely manner based on market conditions, and submit confirmation to the manager and the finance department.
  • Create and modify material information in the SAP system in a timely manner.
  • Regularly check whether purchase orders match the confirmed prices and shares, and disclose any discrepancies.
  • Regularly collect and compile statistics on raw material and supplier procurement.
  • Organize the handling and resolution of material quality issues, and arrange for the handling of non-conforming materials.
  • Assist SQE in requiring suppliers to provide relevant inspection reports and rectification reports. Organize procurement-related files and important documents in accordance with 5S requirements.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or above in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience in purchasing electronic components.
  • Training in purchasing management and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, responsible, with strong self-discipline, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
