Product Engineering (PE) Manager
BizLink is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Product Engineering (PE) Manager to lead the transition of innovative products from concept to mass production. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of product engineers to drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring all designs meet rigorous manufacturability (DFM), cost, and quality standards. By coordinating cross-functional resources and maintaining precise engineering documentation, you will play a vital role in optimizing product life cycles and ensuring our solutions exceed the expectations of our global customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing product engineering team while establishing strategic goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Drive and oversee the comprehensive New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure seamless operational transitions.
- Review product designs meticulously to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance while achieving cost efficiency and quality targets.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources among R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Procurement to facilitate successful trial runs and mass production readiness.
- Establish and maintain critical engineering data, including Bills of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and Work Instructions (WI).
- Support the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process by providing technical expertise, engineering insights, and accurate cost estimations.
- Evaluate and optimize product cost structures through strategic material selection, labor hour assessments, and innovative tooling design.
- Execute other strategic engineering projects, process enhancements, and ad-hoc managerial assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven professional working experience in product engineering, with a strong background in team leadership or supervisory roles.
- Intermediate proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) for professional technical communication and global project alignment.
- High proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and engineering design software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in electronic product technology transfer, system testing, equipment maintenance, and quality inspection protocols.
- Proven experience in executing engineering assessments for new products and preparing for high-volume manufacturing transitions.
- Deep familiarity and practical application experience with IATF 16949 automotive quality management standards.
- Practical proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD and Creo software for precise engineering design and documentation.
- Exceptional problem-solving and cross-departmental coordination skills with a results-oriented mindset.
