Optical Packaging Test Engineer

BizLink is seeking a highly analytical Optical Packaging Test Engineer to ensure the uncompromising quality and performance of our advanced optical products. You will play a critical role in bridging R&D and manufacturing by developing robust testing methodologies during the NPI phase and maintaining high-efficiency automated test systems during mass production. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to drive continuous yield improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Method Development:

  • Establish the initial measurement flow and procedures.
  • Draft comprehensive Test Specifications and Test Plans.
  • Define precise measurement conditions and quality judgment criteria.

Test Platform Setup & Validation:

  • Set up and configure testing equipment and platforms.
  • Establish GR&R, process capability (CPK), and Stability Tests to strictly confirm measurement reproducibility.
  • Validate connectors, coupling fixtures, light source stability, and scanning parameters.

Trial Run Support (EVT/DVT/PVT):

  • Plan trial run testing workflows and allocate manpower/labor hours effectively.
  • Provide on-site trial run support, including high-volume IL/RL (Insertion Loss/Return Loss) testing and alignment parameter debugging.
  • Analyze trial run measurement data, focusing on Yield, CPK, and historical trends.
  • Establish reliable Measurement Windows and provide recommended parameters for production.

MP Test System Maintenance & Improvement:

  • Maintain the long-term stability of mass production testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment anomalies swiftly.
  • Optimize testing station Cycle Time (CT) to enhance overall efficiency.

Automation Introduction:

  • Introduce and deploy automated testing systems to the production line.
  • Collaborate closely with automation engineers to ensure seamless system integration.

MP Data Analysis:

  • Monitor daily production yield rates and track anomaly trends continuously.
  • Analyze testing anomalies utilizing root-cause analysis methodologies such as 5Why, Fishbone diagrams, and 4M1E.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in any discipline.
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) for technical documentation and communication.
  • Willingness and flexibility to undergo initial training and onboarding at the Hsinchu office for the first 3 to 6 months, followed by a permanent relocation to the Annan District facility in Tainan City.
