MAINTENANCE MANAGER

This role oversees and mentors a team of maintenance engineers and technicians, ensuring effective preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. It requires strong leadership, technical expertise in manufacturing plant maintenance, and the ability to drive continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance engineer & technicians
  • Assign tasks, provide training, and evaluate performance to ensure high productivity and adherence to quality standards
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize disruptions and downtime while maximizing equipment availability
  • Utilize maintenance management software or other tools to track work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively
  • Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems to maintain optimal functionality
  • Develop and enforce maintenance procedures and protocols to extend equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or equipment servicing when necessary
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established protocols and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction within the maintenance department
  • Implement best practices, innovative technologies, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence
  • Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to contribute ideas for enhancing maintenance processes and workflows

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
  • 210 years of technical experiences with minimum of 5 years experiences in manufacturing plant
  • Knowledge in rotating equipment, automation, maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning
  • Planning, managing and handson experience in the areas of Preventive Maintenance planning and management, Equipment Repair & Maintenance management, and Spare Parts Management
  • Knowledge of managing, budgeting and controlling budgets & Good leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision making skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Autocad
  • Team leader with the ability to inspire confidence, collaborate with and influence others in the organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech with all levels of company management and with other internal and external contacts
