Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and development of new products, including conceptual design, detailed design, tolerance analysis, preliminary finite element analysis, and failure mode analysis.
- Responsible for the research of new technologies, new materials, and new directions.
- Responsible for reviewing and discussing product specifications and designs with customers.
- Responsible for formulating product specifications and developing test plans.
- Responsible for the production of engineering drawings, the formulation of internal technical specifications, and the issuance of engineering design changes.
- Responsible for manufacturing feasibility analysis and problem review.
- Responsible for the trial of engineering samples, functional verification, and review.
- Responsible for technical communication with suppliers.
- Responsible for the development of product manufacturing, including the formulation of process flows and the review and evaluation of tooling and fixtures.
- Cooperate with the marketing department to provide necessary technical support to customers.
- Cooperate with the marketing department to provide product manufacturing cost and feasibility solution evaluations.
- Participate in the design review of molds and fixtures, as well as the identification of sample assessments.
- Participate in the analysis of trial production reports and coordinate with other departments to resolve problems in production.
- Other work arranged by leadership.
Job Requirements
- Major in mechanical, materials, mold, or related fields, college degree or above.
- More than 5 years of experience in connector design; experience in home appliance product design and development is preferred; experience in wire harness assembly is preferred.
- Familiar with the product development process.
- Proficient in using Pro/e, Solidworks, and AutoCAD software to draw 3D/2D models.
- Familiar with the processing technology of connector products, such as stamping/plating, injection molding/die casting, machining assembly, testing, etc.
- Fluent in written and spoken English communication with customers.
