Stamping Mold Design Engineer
BizLink is seeking a Stamping Mold Design Engineer to lead the design and development of precision molds and fixtures. You will focus on optimizing mold designs, collaborating with production teams to resolve manufacturing defects, and defining material specifications for new projects. This role requires a blend of advanced CAD design skills and practical knowledge of machining processes to ensure seamless product manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop various molds, fixtures, and stamping tools, including the improvement of existing designs.
- Coordinate the development of molds and fixtures and verify product specifications throughout the development phase.
- Support production departments with technical improvements and troubleshoot manufacturing defects or product issues.
- Provide professional technical expertise and support across departments as assigned.
- Determine and finalize material specifications for new mold projects.
- Participate in internal and external professional training to continuously enhance technical skills.
- Execute other tasks and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma, Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCad 3D and PTC Creo Elements/Direct.
- Demonstrated skills in mold design, fabrication, maintenance, and refinement.
- Basic proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing).
- Practical experience in mold repair, assembly, and trial-run improvements (Preferred).
- Strong bench work skills and manual fitting abilities.
- Familiarity with operating machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and EDM (Preferred)
