Sourcing officer / Executive
The Sourcing Officer/Executive acts as the local sourcing representative in the plant. The person will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and expanding the local vendors and manufacturers. The primary goal is to localize procurement of materials that meet the company’s quality standards, while securing the most competitive pricing. He/she will act as the link between the Sourcing team and the production/sales teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Identification & Onboarding: Expanding the network of potential suppliers (including Chinese, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese companies).
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating closely with internal departments.
- Facilitating vendor visits for GC sourcing as required.
- Participating in local plant meetings as the Sourcing representative during customer or certification audits.
- Managing commodities for localized parts.
Job Requirements
- College degree.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and Mandarin/Chinese (Mandarin is mandatory); basic command of English is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Agile is an advantage.
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Cable or Mechanical industry within Project Management, Sales, or Procurement.
