PIE Assistant Manager
The Assistant PIE Manager is the strategic leader responsible for bridging product design and mass production for AEC (Active Electrical Cable) and high-speed data products. Your mission is to establish a standardized manufacturing process, drive automation and layout optimization, and resolve complex technical bottlenecks. You will lead the engineering team to enhance production efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs, and ensure a seamless NPI (New Product Introduction) transition for AI and Data Center markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Standardization & Optimization: Standardize departmental workflows and SOPs, ensuring that process improvements are consistently applied across all production stages.
- NPI & Technical Support: Oversee all stages of NPI confirmation, leading the team to troubleshoot and resolve technical bottlenecks in cable and docking product assembly.
- IE Efficiency & Cost Reduction: Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, optimizing production layouts and automating processes to improve output efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Equipment & Automation Integration: Supervise the development and maintenance of fixtures and automated equipment, ensuring hardware/software analysis supports high-speed cable testing.
- eam Governance & Performance: Set departmental KPIs, manage engineer assignments, and provide technical training to local staff to ensure 100% operational alignment.
Job Requirements
- Five years of engineering management experience in the electronics industry; specific experience in Cable Assembly, Docking, or Dongle production is highly required.
- If lacking direct cable experience, candidates must have process engineering backgrounds in Notebooks (NB), Smartphones, or Wearables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Automation, Electronic Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Professional fluency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written).
- Expert in circuit analysis, hardware/software debugging, and the use of IE analysis tools for process improvement.
- Proficiency in production, layout planning, and SOP standardization.
- Strong ability to lead teams through complex technical troubleshooting and cross-departmental coordination.
- Experience in setting up and transferring engineering functions in a green-field factory in Vietnam.
- Familiarity with 800G high-speed cable processing and specialized automation equipment.
- Knowledge of local environmental and safety standards in SE Asia.
