EHS Engineer
Responsible for managing and implementing EHS activities at the factory, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as company standards on environmental, health, and safety requirements; conducting risk assessments, safety training, and incident investigations, and driving EHS improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Updating environmental aspects and hazard identification, making an ISO 14001 & OHSAS18001 internal audit plan, compiling internal audit lists; pursuing ameliorative actions for non-conformance.
- Collecting and updating EHS laws and regulations, making a conformance audit plan accordingly, compiling internal audit checklists; pursuing ameliorative actions for non-conformance.
- Investigating company internal occupational accidents and establishing accident records.
- Supervising the supply, use, and replacement of personal protective equipment; organizing check-ups for occupational disease; contacting the occupational hospital to arrange physical examinations.
- Arranging qualified organizations to detect occupational hazard aspects, X-Ray quantity, and wastewater/gas/noise.
- Organizing qualified organizations to conduct environmental evaluation, hand in environmental evaluation report to the environmental protection bureau, and obtain trial-production certification.
- Registering and inspecting special equipment.
- Conduct EHS inspections around the plant.
- Smoothly communicating with government officials as well as accompanying officials and clients to inspect the company’s EHS management.
- Inspecting suppliers on Social & Environmental Responsibility management.
- Providing EHS training to newcomers to improve their EHS concept and self-protection skills.
- Understanding facility system operation, such as air conditioning, air compressors, electricity system.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience in the quality EHS function in an international company & facility.
- Bachelor's degree or above in a mechanical or electrical-related major.
- Good knowledge of ISO9001/14001/OHSAS18001/TS16949 and RoHS; basic knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, PFMEA, MSA, etc.
- Good communication skills; strong team work spirit;
- Fluent in Chinese at work.
