Costing Accountant
The Costing Accountant involves managing comprehensive manufacturing costs, overseeing fixed assets, and monitoring inventory movements to ensure accurate financial valuation and control. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, and AP teams to maintain standard costs and provide critical accounting data for financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process operating expenses not related to purchasing, such as salary expenses, social insurance, and other personnel-related costs.
- Record accrued expenses and reverse accruals in accordance with accounting policies.
- Submit expense documents to the Accounts Payable (AP) team for payment scheduling together with other purchasing-related expenses.
- Record and manage additions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets.
- Calculate and record fixed asset depreciation.
- Record and reverse asset impairment provisions in accordance with the Group's accounting policies.
- Allocate prepaid expenses in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.
- Record accrued interest expenses and accrue loan principal liabilities as required.
- Monitor inventory movements (receipts, issues, and balances), conduct inventory counts, calculate the cost of goods sold (COGS), and reconcile inventory quantities.
- Accumulate manufacturing costs, calculate product costs, and analyze cost variances.
- Review and reconcile data among the Production Department, Warehouse, and accounting records.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
- Prepare periodic product costing and manufacturing cost reports.
- Support the development and maintenance of standard costs, including material, labor, and manufacturing overhead standards.
- Provide accounting data for the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and tax finalization.
- Manage scrap inventory and free-of-charge (FOC) goods.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese for daily work.
- Willing to develop a long-term career with the company.
