ACCOUNT MANAGER
This role drives business growth in the semiconductor sector by managing key customer relationships, securing new opportunities, and leading technical sales and project management activities. It requires strong technical expertise, communication skills, and regional focus in Asia to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and expand relationships with key global Semiconductor customers, with a primary focus on the Asian
- region, to drive business growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Semiconductor industry to expand our customer base.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to customers, lead effective meetings, and manage the entire quotation and negotiation process, including contract closure.
- Provide technical expertise on product capabilities, collaborate on customerspecific development projects, and contribute to the creation of technical specifications, approvals, and testing standards.
- Take ownership of fundamental project management tasks to support the successful rampup of new production locations for key customers. This includes defining project scope collaboratively, developing timelines, coordinating with internal teams, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Work closely with global sales colleagues and program managers to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Manage customer quality complaints effectively in partnership with specialist departments and ensure adherence to ISO procedures within the Sales department.
- Develop and monitor sales plans, understand customer needs and market trends, and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales Semicon BU TMP.
- Assist the Sales Manager with operational duties and provide guidance to the account management team to achieve customer objectives.
- Facilitate the smooth handover of successful projects to mass production.
Job Requirements
- Successfully completed technical studies (e.g., Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field) or possess a comparable technical qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in technical sales (advantageous).
- Experience in project management is required.
- Solid knowledge of the cable and cable assembly industry is a plus.
- Understanding of the requirements and processes within the semiconductor industry is highly advantageous.
- Businessfluent English language skills (written and spoken) are mandatory.
- Fluent language skills in at least one of the following languages: Malay or Chinese.
- Knowledge of Korean or Japanese is a significant advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills as well as a confident demeanor.
- High level of initiative, independence, and a resultsoriented work approach.
- Intercultural competence and the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
- Willingness to travel within the region is required.
