Product Engineering Supervisor (PE)
BizLink is seeking a technical and strategic Product Engineering Supervisor to lead our PE team and bridge the gap between product design and mass production. You will be responsible for driving the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) excellence, and optimizing product costs and quality. This leadership role requires a blend of deep engineering expertise, cross-functional coordination, and a strong understanding of automotive quality standards to ensure our manufacturing operations meet global Tier-1 requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and cultivate a high-performing team of product engineers, defining clear objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Direct and oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle to ensure timely and successful product launches.
- Review product designs meticulously to ensure compliance with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, cost constraints, and quality targets.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources including R&D, Manufacturing, QA, and Procurement to finalize trial runs and production readiness.
- Establish and maintain critical engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOM), technical drawings, and Work Instructions (WI).
- Support the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process by providing engineering technical data and accurate cost estimations.
- Evaluate and optimize product costs through strategic material selection, labor hour assessments, and efficient tooling/fixture design.
- Execute other leadership tasks and ad-hoc engineering projects as directed by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role.
- Intermediate proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) for professional and technical communication.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD.
- Hands-on experience and proficiency with 3D design software, specifically SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- Demonstrated skills in electronic product technology transfer, system testing, and equipment maintenance.
- Proven track record in conducting engineering evaluations and preparing for mass production introduction.
- Strong familiarity and practical experience with the IATF 16949 quality management system.
- Skilled in new product inspections as well as incoming and outgoing quality control standards.
- Excellent cross-departmental communication skills to integrate resources and resolve complex engineering issues effectively.
