Location: Indonesia-Batam
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support production objectives while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Manage and conduct raw material sourcing activities in local and global context at Batam
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery speed while maintaining such record of data in SAP/Agile System.
- Identify & develop new sources of suppliers by negotiating competitive price and terms for cost control improvement measures
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Build relationships with vendors and key suppliers for better supply chain management control on cost saving objectives and demand in quality standards.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by your direct supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or business related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- At least 5 years of working experience in sourcing or procurement roles in production or manufacturing environments. Prior experience in sourcing/procurement in electronics, plastic injection and sheet metal stamping will be preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems (SAP, Agile), e-procurement platforms, and spend analysis tools will be an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
