BizLink Ranked in Newsweek's “America's Most Responsible Companies 2023” for the 4th Straight Year

Leading global interconnect solutions provider, BizLink Holding Inc., is honored to be ranked in Newsweek’s “America’s Most Responsible Companies 2023” for the 4th straight year after Newsweek launched this ranking in 2019.

This prestigious ranking showcases those companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to corporate sustainability across the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance aspects of their business.

BizLink Chairman, Roger Liang, gratefully expressed the following: “BizLink is honored to be named as one of Newsweek’s America’s Most Responsible Companies for the 4th time, which collectively recognizes our continued efforts and further solidifies our resolve in achieving greater corporate sustainability, and our long-term commitment towards building a sustainable future.”

BizLink donates to causes the company believes in, including hospitals, social welfare institutions, arts & cultural groups, ecological conservation foundations, and academic research units. Love knows no borders or boundaries, and BizLink is committed to children's welfare and medical services. We continue to support Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), UCSF Children's Hospital, Smile Train Cleft charity, the Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland, and the Tzu Chi Foundation.

We continued to remain true to our sustainability commitments in the past year:

Environmental (E)

BizLink achieved sizable progress in two key environmental indicators with greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity and energy consumption intensity falling by 20.86% and by about 6.59%, respectively, versus the prior year. Our newest plant in Tainan, Taiwan, will meet green energy building standards with its on-site solar power and energy-efficient equipment. We plan to gradually introduce renewable energy generation at more of our sites in the coming years, and to move towards our global carbon reduction target of net zero carbon emissions. BizLink cooperated with the National Taiwan University's Experimental Forest conservation effort on reforestation, and planted 3,000 seedlings in Nantou, Taiwan, which is estimated to be able to absorb 500 tons of carbon dioxide in the next 20 years, equivalent to the carbon dioxide emissions of the BizLink Taipei branch in the past 40 years.

Society (S)

BizLink continued our long-term global support of non-profit organizations, including UNICEF, World Vision, and Doctors Without Borders. We also continued to support the construction of a high-resolution image database of marine life in the waters of Hualien, Taiwan, for the Kuroshio Ocean Education Foundation, to help identify and track changes in the kinds of whales and dolphin species and their numbers over the long-term to protect their ecology.

Governance (G)

BizLink was ranked among the Top 5% in the 8th annual Corporate Governance evaluation conducted by the TWSE in 2022, and was selected as a constituent stock in the TWSE’s Corporate Governance 100 index for the 7th year in a row. BizLink aims for a "zero accidents" target at our global sites. After acquiring INBG, we found out there is room for improvement. In order to ensure employee safety and health, we enhanced control banding through internal auditing, counseling, and training to implement mechanical risk assessments & poka-yoke, CMR management, and noise monitoring.

Newsweek, a mainstream media outlet in the US, cooperated with Statista, a data research firm, to select the Top 500 responsible companies headquartered in the US to recognize their efforts in creating a sustainable future for all. America’s Most Responsible Companies were selected based on publicly available key performance indicators derived from CSR Reports, Sustainability Reports, and other reports as well as an independent survey. The KPIs focused on company performance in the environmental, social, and corporate governance areas, while the independent survey asked U.S. citizens about their perception of company activities related to corporate social responsibility. The final list recognizes the top 500 most responsible companies in the United States, spanning 14 industries.
