Senior Equipment Engineer
BizLink is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Equipment Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment. In this critical role, you will lead equipment maintenance, drive process improvements, and manage tooling inventory while upholding strict EHS and quality standards. By leveraging your cross-disciplinary expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, you will play a pivotal role in reducing production costs and enhancing our overall manufacturing capabilities in SMT and wire harness operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage spare parts, molds, cutting tools, and fixtures for production equipment, including inventory auditing and routine tooling inspections and validations.
- Draft, update, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operations.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, execute production cost-reduction (Cost Down) projects, and conduct new equipment evaluations.
- Maintain existing Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS), and actively assist in driving the implementation of new systems.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance (PM), and emergency troubleshooting and repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Execute other engineering tasks and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related maintenance discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall working experience.
- At least 2 to 3 years of direct experience in equipment preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, possessing both mechanical and foundational electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Hands-on working experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and wire harness manufacturing facilities.
- Basic capability in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and operation.
- Proven track record in driving process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) with the ability to draft mechanical structures and machined components.
- Familiarity with Quality and EHS management systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic equipment maintenance tools.
