Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer drives process optimization and quality improvements within the electronics manufacturing and interconnect solutions sector. This role focuses on executing end-to-end DMAIC projects, managing stakeholder relations, and validating improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The engineer is responsible for mentoring cross-functional teams, monitoring quality assurance KPIs, and ensuring data-driven enhancements to manufacturing workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects to achieve specific cost-saving and quality goals.
- Utilize Six Sigma tools, including statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and Kaizen, to identify process inefficiencies and validate process improvements.
- Act as a liaison between project sponsors and team members to mediate conflicts and facilitate the adoption of new engineering and production workflows.
- Coach, train, and mentor Green Belts, Yellow Belts, and cross-functional team members in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Create project charters, document process enhancements, and present progress and results to leadership.
- Monitor and control the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the quality assurance department.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from a recognized body (e.g., ASQ, IASSC).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electronics manufacturing, specifically with cable assembly or interconnect solutions.
- Advanced skills in Minitab or similar statistical software.
- Ability to influence engineering and production staff to adopt new workflows.
- Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and collaboration.
- Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills in Indonesian and English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Experience with high-speed data transmission standards and testing protocols (e.g., signal integrity, impedance testing).
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
- Certified internal auditor of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 13485 is a plus.
- A keen eye for detail is crucial for identifying defects and ensuring accuracy.
