Project leader in production and process engineering
As a Project Leader in Production and Process Engineering, you will translate new product designs into efficient production processes, be responsible for defining the complete manufacturing flow and layout, coordinating the implementation of workstations and tooling, and leading process validation to ensure a successful start of production (SOP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes initial project briefing meetings
- Analyzes product drawings, defines required process steps and process flow (BOL)
- Defines production layout
- Provides information to project leader regarding creation of project timeline
- Creates required documentation related to the project (eg. process flow diagram, layout, process/test specifications, etc.)
- Coordinates:
- workstation design,
- required tooling (specification, ordering, etc.),
- implementation,
- process setup,
- change feasibility study, and
- work instructions with appropriate process owners (pouring, crimping, etc.) according to project timeline
- Performs final approval of work instructions and production lines
- Tracks and records project tasks through the Dashboard, assigns tasks to the relevant project members and organizes follow up meetings to track progress on previously assigned tasks
- Conducts PFMEA (process) analysis for assigned projects
- Prepares documentation for SOP, follows procedure steps through SOP Checklist or other relevant documents
- Initiates waste analysis and checks effectiveness prior to SOP
- Collaborates and communicates with clients (customers)
- Provides support to sales departments in the process of product pricing and requests for quotations (RFQ)
- Proposes innovations and technical solutions and participates in the sampling process
- Participates and provides support in process audits
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of production processes in similar industries is desirable
- You have a technical education background
- Professional fluency in English
