Laboratory Assistant Manager (AEC & Compatibility) / QA Team Leader
The Assistant Laboratory Manager oversees the laboratory operations for AEC and high-speed data transmission products. This role is critical in supporting the development and mass production of 800G high-speed cables by managing signal integrity, reliability testing, and global project coordination. You will be responsible for laboratory resource allocation, outsourced testing management, and ensuring that all testing methodologies align with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Operations & Testing: Oversee laboratory testing for PC/Data/IT products, ensuring timely and accurate results for new product development and substitute material validation.
- High-Speed Product Support: Lead the testing for high-speed 800G cables, including 1000 Gramsche test arrangements and signal integrity assessments.
- Project & Outsourced Testing Management: Manage quality projects for key clients (DIT/HP/Logitech/Framework), overseeing outsourced testing budgets, manpower scheduling, and vendor methodology alignment.
- Resource Coordination: Monitor laboratory workflows and ensure the timely creation and issuance of SOPs/SIPs for outsourced testing and internal laboratory procedures.
Job Requirements
- Five years of quality management or laboratory management experience in the electronics industry.
- Proven experience in high-speed data cable testing or compatibility laboratory management. Experience in NB, Smartphone, or Smartwatch testing labs is highly relevant.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Automation or Electronic Information Engineering.
- Professional fluency in Chinese or English (both spoken and written), capable of direct communication with global clients.
- Expert knowledge of high-speed cable testing (TDR, VNA, Eye Diagram) and reliability test standards.
- Ability to manage laboratory budgets, outsourced service providers, and cross-regional manpower.
- Understanding of laboratory management standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025) and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Experience in establishing a compatibility lab from the ground up in a start-up environment.
