Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the product portfolio for the power tools market in line with technologies and market trends.
  • Oversee the product portfolio throughout all phases, from product development to market launch and phase-out, focusing on products for the power tools market.
  • Create design specifications in collaboration with development teams.
  • Maintain an overview of all product cost calculations and identify technical correlations that can provide future advantages for market development.
  • Be part of an international team of product managers and developers. Initiate and manage sample orders and prepare technical product documentation.
  • Establish a sustainable relationship with the customer's technical functions. Lead the technical customer interface for high-volume/high-complexity projects.
  • Cooperate with the sales team to complete pre-sales technical exchanges, helping customers better understand the functions and advantages of the products. Define technical offer content, including technical assumptions, alternatives, and proposals.
  • Provide customers with technical training and guidance on products, such as product usage specifications, prevention of common malfunctions, and corresponding solutions. Identify innovation opportunities, technical market trends, approval trends, portfolio trends, etc.
  • Determine target cost ranges and technical concepts together with the calculation department and operational PM.
  • Participate in formulating differential and competitive quotation plans with PCC, purchasing, IE, and PPE departments according to target customer segmentation in the market.
  • Escalate or correct calculations in case of missing competitiveness or mistakes. Define Bizlink specifications, calculation assumptions, and alternatives to be calculated.
  • Collect technical problems encountered by customers promptly, sort them out, and provide feedback to the R&D team. Summarize common problems and form a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
  • Represent customer interests in the plant, determining best-in-class product standards for target segments/customer segments based on materials, processes, and costs.
  • Train the internal team about customer needs, industry or product trends, new products/technologies/norms/standards, and potential add-on services. Create technical know-how within local areas to better investigate customer requirements and key decisive factors for future product offers.
  • Collaborate across departments to optimize product design and put forward reasonable suggestions.
  • Participate in formulating and improving standard processes for product debugging and after-sales support.
  • Support the company's technology promotion activities (technical demonstrations at exhibitions, introductions to product applications).
  • Maintain and manage relevant technical documents (debugging reports, problem-solving records).

Job Requirements

  • University degree with an electronic, automation, or engineering relevant
  • background.
  • 3 years plus relevant industry experience, especially in the fields of power tools, electronic manufacturing or motor control.
  • Those with experience in FAE (Field Application Engineer) or technical support positions will be given preference.
  • Be familiar with AC/DC motor control technologies (such as brushless motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors, etc.) and drive circuits.
  • Understand the performance testing methods (for example, power, rotational speed, and torque testing) of power tool products and common standards (such as CE, FCC certifications).
  • Be familiar with the structure, principle and performance characteristics of power tools.
  • Have a certain ability in fault analysis, be able to locate problems and provide preliminary solutions.
  • Good project management, excellent organization skills.
  • Good communication skills and possess the collaboration concept.
  • Possess good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities and be able to write technical documents proficiently.
  • Advanced skills in Office software, PPT, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Honest, mature, open, flexible, persistent, and confident.
