 Serial ATA is the
next generation in box storage interface that is designed to replace
todays parallel ATA. It is intended to provide scalable performance
for the next decade. The interface supports 1.5Gbps and 3Gbps signal
transmission speed. The new standard defined small form factor
connectors for both signal and power segments. Seven pins in signal
connector and thinner cable improve in chassis airflow and easier
board routing.
Latching Serial ATA
connectors and cable assemblies are the new addition to BizLinks
standard serial ATA product family. Locking latches ensure the
connectors will stay in good contact during shipping and handling.
