Digital Media Interconnect are high-performance connectivity
solutions based on the state-of-the-art HDMI

(High Definition
Multimedia Interface) technology. HDMI is the first
industry-supported interface for uncompressed, all-digital audio
and video transmission. Interconnect based on HDMI technology
are expected to be the predominant technology for transmitting
digital television audio-visual signals from DVD players,
set-top boxes, camcorders and other sources to TV and
projectors.
 The
new BizLink HDMI connectors and cable assemblies are compliant
with the new HDMI 1.3 specification ratified in June 2006, and
features following updates:
- Higher speed: Increases the single-link bandwidth from
165MHz (4.95 Gbps) to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps).
- Deep Color: Supports 30-bit, 36 bit and 48-bit (RGB or
YCbCr) color depth, previously only 24-bit depth.
- Broader color space: Removes
virtually all limits on color selection. The next generation vYCC
color space.
- New audio formats: In addition to the Dolby?Digital and
DTS, HDMI 1.3 will also support Dolby
TrueHD and DTS-HD
Master Audio.
- New mini connector: Type C connector introduced for
portable devices such as camcorders and digital cameras. See
below.
- Full HD 1080p, and support for 1440p
Mini HDMIä
(Type C)
 BizLink,
as one of the earliest adaptors of HDMI interconnect solutions,
now introduces the new mini HDMI connector Type C. This
connector is part of the new HDMI 1.3 specification. Type C
connectors will serve the market of portable devices such as HD
camcorders, digital cameras, and other portable devices that are
in great demand for connectivity to HDTV.
